On the road again - Flaxton to Benarkin

Benarkin, Queensland, Australia
We were on the road by 2pm after meeting with our new housesitters, Jacky and Paul from Port Arthur in Tasmania, and their dog Bonnie.

With a stop in Kilcoy for a bouyancy vest (PFD) in case of spills from Mabel, and a pie for late lunch, we continued on to Benarkin Early Settlers Free Camp Park beside the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail . We walked across the road to the one and only Benarkin Store to spend 3 whole dollars! to help support the local economy. With a packet of Snakes in my pocket, we headed down the Rail Trail towards Blackbutt (4.6 ks away) but the sun was nearly down, so we thought better of walking 4.6 ks in the dark and cold with only a packet of Allen's Snakes between us, and returned to the van for tea which was some yummy chicken curry I had cooked before leaving home.
