We arrived here on Sunday evening after a long day on and off the bus from stop to stop. The number of swallow nests all around the hotel was incredible! I've never seen so many! I'm so glad the hotel management allow them to nest there because later we noticed the hotel in Kusadasi had removed the nests, and I prayed silently that they had at least waited until the chicks had taken flight, or even before the parents had started incubating.

Someone mentioned our group's dinner plans had interfered with a bride's reception, so I regretted that . She looked so beautiful in her gown, but I could tell she was mad. I thought perhaps it was because I was trying to snap some pictures of her (I was trying desperately to be discreet). Later that night, after we had all retired to our rooms, I could hear the music from the reception, so I hope the bride had a great celebration despite the earlier hiccup.

After dinner that Sunday evening, we had a worship service in one of the hotel's meeting rooms. As most of us were leaving the meeting room, we noticed the man from the carpet factory had brought some carpets to the meeting room for one last attempt to entice buyers before we moved on to the next town.

The following morning, before our departure, I got some snaps of turkeys and peacocks and, of course, some swallows.
