Santiago de Cuba from up high

Santiago de Cuba, Santiago de Cuba, Cuba
The gentle breeze on the 5th floor open air roof Parisian style terrace of the Hotel Casa Granda was a welcome relief to the busyness of chaotic road side below being high enough and away from the polluted air far below caused by the countless motorcycles. That plus up here having the 360 degree views of Santiago de Cuba. Pizza for lunch plus a couple of cans of lemonade CUC$9 / US$9 / NZ$14.

On the way back to the hotel there was a more successful money exchange by Plaza de Dolares for some who had waited for over an hour in a queue with no joy.

While some swam it was for me a much needed lie down. Travel tiredness starting to creep in? Or was it for me the oppressive heat that is draining me?
