Troon to Bangor

Oh to be in Ireland!!
Left a dry but blowy Troon at 5am . Wind on the nose so very bouncy & cold.About an hour out we decided to put the jenny up and the self furling decided to jam up!! Why did we spend that money getting it replaced to stop that happening!!Rob then spent a cold wet spray soaked half-hour on the foredeck repairing it.

By lunchtime the winds had dropped to nothing & the sun was out so quite pleasant, except for the noise of the engine.Monty had a couple of walks around the decks, otherwise he wa s happy to keep an eye on us from the warmth of his sheepskin bed!

We were very happy to see a sunny Bangor 13hrs after leaving. We timed our arrival for the start of a local evening race so quite a few boats piling out! As we approached our berth a kind gent was waiting to grab the ropes.A nice welcome to Ireland.
