Las Palmas, Spain, Spain and Canary Islands
The Canary Islands are a pleasant change after visiting Morocco. Here you will find well developed industries, properties and a big hit with the sun tourist vacationer. There were 3 cruise ships in port today and this island was busy. Our tour was much about the volcanic geography and a botanical view of the island. The Dragon tree is unique to the islands. You will find orange and lemon groves, avocado trees and commercial banana plantations. We visited San Brigida plus Arcuso. Lunch was nanny goat cheese, olives, new potatoes in garlic red pepper sauce (a local treat) plus sangria and local Pacifico beer. Other stops offered banana liqueur, date rum plus cactus liqueur samples. Hot today +26 and sunny.
