Tropical Storm Hermine

Calgary, Canada
Departure day from the Gulf coast. We awake to gale force winds. The sea has large rolling breakers. After breakfast, we checkout and load the car. By now the intensity of the storm has doubled. We are seeing only a fringe of this weather but it definitely is a good time to leave the coast. The tourists have thinned out, the beaches are empty and the traffic to the airport is light. With a fuel stop for the rental car, the trip to IAH takes 1 hour 50 minutes. We forgot the camera in the car, recover it and are on our way.
Calgary temperatures are expected to drop to 2C this evening but it is good to be home .
