Just a few hundred meters away is another town--not sure if it is officially a separate town or not. I decide to parkbench it just in case--I'll check on Wikipedia later to see if is a town or not.
The same authentic rugged village feel here, not crisp and polished like, say the Moorish villages in the mountains of Malaga, Spain.
I continue on down the road as darkness sets in, until I reach another town (which isn't officially a town) and I stop at an Indian restaurant to confirm where the bus stop is. Seems odd to find an Indian restaurant in an out of the way village like this, but it's actually very common here in Portugal--it almost seems to be a standard feature in each town: an Indian Restaurant!
