And so my New Years begins with a bang. Thinking back, actually all my last 5 New Years' have been unforgettable. From starting my transSahara adventure in 2009... going back to the town of my youth in Mexico in 2010... Wandering around Salem, Oregon USA in 2011... Napoli, Italy 2012... And now Lagos.

After getting a little sleep, I'm eager to think about the year that's ahead as I hear my feet pound on the pavement. I'm continuing east to Portimao, to see what I find along the way.

Now I'm going inland, so no more beach towns, instead my next town Odiaxere is more of a typical Portuguese town, with the simple charm of the short, thick walled whitewashed houses with bright colores around the windows and doors, and houses covered entirely with exterior decorative tiles.

After my inspiring experience last night, I just have to write a song . Right here. Right now. This is a slow, passionate Spanish song about the could've beens of life
