Bambuda Lodge

Solarte, Bocas del Toro, Panama
Hung around Bubba's 'til checkout. Went to Bocas Town for transfer to Solarte. Visited with my dive instructor. Got on a boat to Solarte.

Bambuda Lodge sits on the hill about 30yds up from the dock. It's also isolated: there's really nothing else on the island. There are locals with houses and a village on different parts of the island, which you run into when hiking the trails, but none of them are close to the lodge.
Nevertneless, the lodge has a pool, waterslide, snorkeling, and even a ping-pong table. There's lots of room for hanging out and lounging around, in or out of the sun. The food is good and moderately priced. There's room for about 40 guests and the place was full.

So I just hung out while waiting for the 2pm check-in. Then hung out some more, reading and talking with a few people. My camera crapped out again, so no pics; bummer: could have had a lot of good pics from this place. Here's a link: http://bocas-del-toro.bambuda.net/
Dinner is served as a group. You order from four entrees between 4:30 and 6:30. Then it's served at 7:30. There are two long tables seating about fourteen each, and the rest sit at smaller tables.

After dinner, it's a couple of cocktails, conversation, then to bed.
