Asked around all week for a New Year's Eve party. Seems only private home parties, or partying in the streets and setting off fireworks.  

When at Bambuda, I had asked them: they said 'maybe' . I knew a few people who were going to be there, and I figured that along with all the other guests we could make our own party.  

The castle only opened a few weeks ago: still working on it and adding more housing. Like the Lodge, the whole place is upscale, but the prices are not. Both are kind of out of the way, so maybe traffic would be limited; both both were fully booked at this time.  

The fun at the Castle was for guests only, so I booked a bunk, for $12. Taxis are hard to get in the evening, and I would guess impossible after midnight. Plus, crashing right there was very convenient. Excellent filet mignon dinner with salad and potatoes for $12; very good bottle of wine for $12.50. Rum and Coke $3.50. Total bill, including transportation, under $70. Pretty darn cheap for a fun new year's.
