Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
First of two days to unwind in Roatan Island after 5 weeks on the road was the objective of this part of the trip. Will I be successful?

Today it was a meet at 12.30 pm for those going on the optional swim / snorkel with the dolphins. This is something that I have not done before.

Breakfast was first so a walk into town and at Earth Mama’s decided on their fruit and granola parfait L 140 / NZ $ 8.40 / US $ 6.90. That with a really great and thick fruit and yogurt smoothie for L 100 / NZ $ 6 / US $ 5. With the 10% tax added breakfast was a mere L 264 / NZ $ 15.90 / US $ 13.

A morning walk to see more of the West End of the island ie Half Moon Bay. Was not really surprised but the amount of flotsam / debris washed up with the sea weed at the high tide mark annoyed me. I can fully understand how the fish / sea life / birds are suffering with us humans either throwing our unwanted garbage out at sea or it being washed down by the rivers.

Then in the next entry is the afternoon optional activity at Anthony's Key Resort, Sandy Bay most of the group's encounter with the dolphins.

Dinner at Cannibal Cafe. This is at this stage one of the best meals we had. I thought about taking the burrito challenge where if you eat 3 within an hour it is free. But after my fish one decided that yes I could eat 2 of them but the third one, this last one would really be a struggle and I would merely be a glutton so I didn’t.
