Talking with some of the others and on their recommendations decided that I could sneak two more things in before our 10 am departure from bound for Copan in neighbouring Hondurus. I had not seen Cerro de la Cruz viewpoint overlooking Antigua or Antigua's colourful "chicken" bus terminal.

Behind the bus terminal was another part of the bustling and just as colourful local market.

Time to leave Guatemala. Sorry, could not find Dr Ropata! Left at 10 am with all of our luggage on top of the van bound for the border with Honduras and then Copan for 2 nights. Again as we drove through Guatemala City it was windows shut and AC on. Not a nice city! We had to virtually re-track our route into Antigua several days earlier. Passing through fields with melons growing, road side stalls selling grapes and pineapple made the border at 4 pm.
