To my long time friend Helene (34 years) who is also celebrated her wedding anniversary one day after ours. Hope it is a good one!

This morning we head out for a Mokoro ride which is a dug out tree trunk that is pushed by a poler at the back of the boat . It is not as stable as a canoe and sits quite low in the water. I just hope we do not meet any hippos as a fast get away is impossible. We crossed shallow channels to avoid any interactions with these territorial beasts and headed for Chiefs Island to do a bush walk.
We saw a few animals and an owl which we almost got a great shot of, but that's another story. Returned to our Mokoro's after having a drink and headed back to camp for an early lunch.

At three, we came back to the main lodge for high tea and departed for our sunset boat cruise once more. It is a tradition to find a good sunset spot in the Delta for happy hour, stop the motor and watch it set from the comforts of our seats while sipping our drinks. Once it has set, we head back for camp before total darkness as we zigzag back through the channels winding paths.

Just ten days left before we return home to our family, friends and our home.
