Kasane, North West, Botswana
Had a great sleep, got dressed and went for a 7:00AM breakfast before we headed out in a private boat trip that departed at 8:00. We booked a three hour boat trip on the Chobe River. The Chobe River serves as a natural boundary between Namibia and Botswana. the river has two channels with the right one being the deepest. There was a dispute between the two countries as to which side of the channel divided the two countries but a court of law ruled it to be the right side. The island between was therefore handed over to Botswana and now is part of the National Park.
Alone in the boat we had plenty of room to move around to observe the birds and some animals . We also could ask the driver to make longer stops at sites of interest.

Came back and met up with James the Hotel manager to discuss discrepancies in the billing. He agreed with us and understood that it was very confusing. Due to the problems that we encountered he offered us a complimentary sunset boat ride. Yahououuu, here we go again and according to the boat driver, we should see many more animals at this time. Departure time 3:00PM and we should return around 6:00PM just in time for the sunset.
This boat was very different than the one we had this morning, we were about 50 passengers on a slow moving double decker that served drinks during the cruise. The main floor had chairs and the top floor was standing room only and used mostly by photographers and smokers.
