Drive to Savuti

Kasane, North West, Botswana
Yesterday we had a long drive from Moremi to Savuti but we are now in our new camp and will be for the next two days.

Did I mention that we fall asleep (not always easy for me without earplugs) to the sounds of lions, elephants and other wild beasts . It is however a unique African experience and a first for all of us. We are beginning to get use to the wild environment that surrounds us. We walk around camp without too much fear. We see the same animals almost every day but each time it offers a different viewing experience. It can be a large group of elephants one day crossing a river or a lone male eating by the side of the road, really close to the vehicle. It is just such an exhilarating experience to be outdoors, observing the animal behaviour of each species.

Our guide Leabo is such a wealth of information and this contributes to our learning experience.
We did not do an afternoon drive due to the long transit ride from one camp to the other. We relaxed had supper and went to bed around 9:00 PM
