Today the manager proposed that we do a full day trip to maximize the chances of seeing wild life. We also asked for another guide because the one we had seemed to have limited knowledge, had an attitude and we hardly saw any wildlife with him. His name was Dick and the name suited him well. Lol!

We left after breakfast and spent the whole day driving through channels . The weather was perfect with a just the right amount of wind to keep us comfortable under the African sun. When we stopped to observe birds or animals the temperature would go up slightly and t-shirts were the proper item to have. Wearing several layers is a must here as mornings and evenings are cooler than the day time.

Saw many wonderful sights and we are all grateful for this peaceful time on the Okavango Delta. Tomorrow we head back to the Old Bridge Backpackers in Maun and will be going by boat. It will be our last boat ride, a 4 hour journey with possible game viewing along the way.
