The final day of a wonderful holiday.  We booked an extra night at our hotel so guaranteed a late checkout.  The Hotel Granvia were very helpful in giving us a fantastic rate for the extra night and refunding us for the breakfast that we obviously won’t eat.

We took a taxi and then the cable car up to the Castel Montjuic.  It was a stunning day and the views of Barcelona, the harbour and the coast were incredible.  We could see the restaurant, Torre de Alta Mar, where we had dinner last night.

We walked back down and caught another taxi to get dropped off at the Palau de la Musica Catalana.  This was a last minute addition to our itinerary and it was a really enjoyable tour of a beautiful concert hall.

We felt like a final tapas lunch, so stopped in at a restaurant named La Plassohla for a delicious selection before spending the next couple of hours wandering around the Gothic Quarter.  

Eventually we had to return to the hotel and pack our bags for our flight home.  We checked out and had a final drink on the hotel terrace before catching a cab to El Pratt airport.  We paid to use the Miro Lounge where we had some snacks and a couple more drinks before catching our Emirates flight back to Melbourne. Now to plan another holiday!
