En Land rover , nous empruntons les 100 km qui nous séparent de Kerch, la route est monotone mais nous discutons pour passer le temps . Notre but, la visite de la ex-base militaire de kerch construite au 19e siècle sur un lieu stratégique en hauteur. comme vous pouvez le constater sur la carte ci dessus à droite. Kerch se situe sur le détroit et le passage des nateaux ou flottes en direction ou sortie de la mer d'Azov. La base enterrée n' était pas visible de la mer par l'ennemi . Les russes ont aussi disposé des tonnes de mines anti-navire entre les différentes ilots et bans de sable naturel du Golfe de Kerch.
nous avons droit à une visite privée, de nombreux batiments, casemates , tunnels, arsenals tiennent encore debout. Un réfectoire et une remise ,immenses, pouvaient nourrir plus de 5 000 soldats . tout étaient construits et penser pour ne pas gaspiller la nourriture : architecture de la pièce, type de ventilation, matériaux utilisés. et que surtout ,les soldats ne tombent malade à cause d'une épidémie.
Tous les 2 nous sommes émerveillés par tant de prouesse et génie de l'armée Russe. Nous avons droit a une colation dans les bureaux de cette forteresse , thé et petits Gâteaux...
L'après midi nous retournons à Koktebel ou plus exactement PLanerskoye : l'aviation et l'industrie soviétiques sont nées dans les collines proches de Koktebel. Les parapentistes y viennent aujourd'hui pour profiter des courants ascendants, la ou la brise marine rencontre les longues crêtes arides des montagnes baignées par le soleil et , au-dela, les steppes.

Dans les années 1920/1930 , les concepteurs d'avions Sergueii Korolev, Sergueii Iliouchine et Oleg Antonov testèrent des planeurs depuis la crête du mont Klementyeva (ouzoun-syrt en tatar), haute de 180 m et longue de 6 km .
A cette époque , cela valut à Koktebel le nom de Planerskoye.
Aujourd'hui, des écoles de parapente , de deltaplane, de parapente, et de speed-flying sont installées à cet endroit, avec une piste d'atterrissage, un musée et des hébergements , elles organisent des compétitions.Les prix des vols est de : 25 euros en parapente, en planeur 35 à 80 , et en ULM 40 euros.
