Up a ridge is a nice wooded park around the ruins of a colonial estate
. There's an entrance fee for cars but... for pedestrians its free! I knew walking everywhere would pay off eventually...
From the top of the ridge I get a nice view of the Atlantic coast. There are some hills, wooded areas and villages spaced well apart--quite a contrast with the overcrowded west.
