Travel Day

 We headed east this morning on I-20 to US Rt . 49 in Jackson MS where we turned south on US 49. This was a nice drive through rolling countryside and several small towns. We had a picnic lunch at the “Paul B Johnson State Park”; it was a beautiful setting overlooking a good size lake where several boats and personal water craft were enjoying the beautiful day. We continued south on US 49 to I-10 where we turned east to “Biloxi”, and a campground a few miles outside of the city, “Martin Lake Resort”. After setting up camp and cleaning up we headed into Biloxi and the “Boomtown Casino” for a little time at the slot machines; we also had a delicious combination
dinner here of ribeye steak and snow crab legs. Leaving the Boomtown Casino we visited the Golden Nugget, both casinos were the winners tonight.
