Travel Day

Leaving the casino campground we headed south on US 75 and then east on I 70 to Kansas City, Kansas and onto Kansas City, Missouri, we only passed through as we did not have a reason to stop. We continued on US Rt. 24 to the "Harry S. Truman National Historic Site" in Independence MO. Here we viewed the film on the life to Harry Truman and toured the small museum, his home is only viewed via a guided tour, and unfortunately the first opening was at 3:00 this afternoon, as it was still early in the day we decided not take the tour. We drove by the house, but with the trailer in tow and the narrow streets our view of the house was limited. After leaving Independence we headed west on US Rt. 24, south on I-235, I-49 and MO Rt. 7 south to the city of Clinton; and then south on MO Rt. 13 to Springfield MO where we found a small campground on the south side of the city. Today Valerie did not take any pictures.
