Apparently, if there is one thing expats and tourist must do in Hong Kong it is to go to Happy Valley on a Wednesday night. Happy Valley is the name of the horse track. Yes. You read right, the horse track. So with a bunch of girls whom I met at the hostel we decided to go for diner and then to check out this famous Happy Valley. We had dim sum in a Taiwanese restaurant. The food was good but the company not so much. One of the girl was definitively not travelling on a budget and wanted to get all of the most expensive items on the menu…

Spending the evening at the race field was kind of interesting . Most of the crowd was indeed composed of expats and showed more interest in drinking beers than in the races. It is true that after a few races the all thing becomes a bit boring. The race goes really fast and the time in between are rather long. Anyways, it was fun!


Apparemment, s'il y a une chose que les expats et les touristes doivent absolument faire le Mercredi soir c'est bien d'aller à l'hippodrome. Oui oui. Vous avez bien lu, l'hippodrome Happy Valley (c'est son nom). Du coup, avec des filles rencontrées à l'auberge on a décidé d'aller manger ensemble avant d'aller faire un tour à ce fameux hippodrome. On a manger des Dim Sum dans un resto taïwanais. La nourriture était bonne mais la compagnie un peu moins. Une des nanas ne voyageait pas sur un budget et voulais commander tous les mets les plus cher...!

Passer la soirée au champs de course était une expérience intéressante. La majorité de la foule étaient là pour boire des bières plutôt que pour regarder les courses. Bon, c'est vrai qu'après quelques courses ça devient un peu lassant, surtout que le temps entre chaque course est assez long. C'était quand même bien amusant!
