The metro is beside. You have to buy a card for 2 GEL ($1) and load it with a balance. Metro fare is .50 GEL (.25 cents).
Escalators are quite deep unlike Yerevan which I just left. The train was quite crowded for the four stops to Avlabari metro.
On my next day I went from Avlabari to Rustaveli to find my travel agent.

Final day I went from Avlabari to Station Square as I was leaving Georgia for my sleeper train to Baku, Azerbaijan
