Breakfast is planned for the airport as we take an early taxi from the hotel. The city is vibrant on a typical Monday morning as vendors and commuters arrive into the core. We check our flight with LAN who advise that the 1055 flight to Sao Paulo is full but they then ask if we had a Brazilian entry visa . We had verbally inquired about this earlier and it seems we were misinformed. A little more research here would have paid dividends. After much study, , we decide the best course seems to fly direct to Houston Texas then via AC direct to Calgary. It will be expensive but with the disruption and full flights, all things considered we purchase tickets and spend a quiet day at the airport.
