Time to hand back the 'Black Jag'.....

London, England, United Kingdom
Tonight we are safely to our final destination with the hire car. The black 'Jag' that has caused a comment or two over the last four weeks has been returned to 'Thrifty' and Pete is a bit sad! We have travelled 1,709 miles in it and Peter has now learnt to drive it I do believe. It can be a bit tricky with all its technology! You have done well lovee! We have had our stressful moments, but it has been great to have our independence and give everyone a break here and there, whilst we went off and did our own thing.

Last night we stayed in Boston and it was quite cold. Today has been a nice day, both weather wise and our touristy bits! Rather than sit around the hotel when we got to London, (just as well as I will record later in this blog about that) we decided to travel to London via Cambridge. Pete was getting a bit agitated as we got closer to Cambridge and I am so glad I convinced him we should do the 'Park and Ride'. I just know if we had tried to get into Cambridge and park, it would have been too stressful and we would have ended up heading off to London, without a punt and a look around!

So it did happen! We visited Cambridge and had a punt on the Cam river. It was really great. I had sort of thought, when we first saw it all happening on the river, that maybe it was a bit over-rated. But I wasn't going to say anything like that to Peter. I had got the selfie-stick organised as well! We were put up the front of the punt and had this great view. So many bridges that we punted under. Henry was our punter! He was pretty damn good too. He maneuvered us around those that were pretty useless! The 'punter' gave us info about the university buildings that are all along the river. Absolutely beautiful buildings.

It was a great day and we were back at the black Jag by 3.30pm. I tried to take a selfie with us both at the front of the black Jag, but I do need more practice! The trip on the Motorway to the Sheraton Hotel wasn't too bad at all. But then I wasn't driving! Can't believe there is no free internet here in the room. I have had to come downstairs to be able to get 45 minutes free. I am typing so fast and trying to load photos. Determined to get my 45 minutes free Wifi. Now the battery on the laptop is low. Need to go.

Well I guess it is off to Ireland now, glad you enjoyed the Jag we had a ride in a very nice one in Helsinki. Enjoy the balance of your travels. We stayed at a vey nice hotel on our travels and same thing with Wifi. I decided to pay for an hour only to find out it was one continuous hour not "an hour".

Amazing re the Internet. When we visited South America, it was free internet in our hotel and at restaurants. Enjoy Ireland as I know you will. You'll be doing the Irish jig by the time you're finished.

Now Peter, I ask you, a blue striped T shirt and a Black Jag!!
Punting sounds fun, especially if you sit still.

Hi Chez. So glad you have caught up with Kaye. I'm sure you have had a great time in Noosa. We haven't been to that part of the Queensland coast. I'm sure it has been lovely. On our 'Bucket List'. Love to you and Rob. Enjoy the rest of your travels and may it be safe xxxxx
