Nice drive along west side of Flathead Lake and up US-93 to Kalispell.
93 goes right through Kalispell's historic district with beautifully restored 1800s buildings.

East on Hwy 2. Surprised it was four lanes; lots of traffic. After Columbia Falls, two lanes and much less traffic. So many scenic spots along this drive; places to come back and check out in the car.

WEST GLACIER, MT - Gateway to Glacier National Park
West Glacier Village: Cute couple of blocks of log buildings constructed in 1938 that are now stores containing everything a traveler might need--cafes, all-purpose mercantile, campstore, bar, gift shop, post office, gas station, even mini-golf. Very busy since it's right before the park entrance gate.

West Glacier RV Park - 8 nights
Hurray, no driving every day for a while.
Stayed here because it's the nearest campground to the National Park's West Entrance. Only a 5-minute drive to the entrance gate.
West Glacier Village is at the end of the road, even a path there from the campground.
We had Site 98, wonderful; facing the woods. Super nice rv park.
Very hot in the afternoons--90. Nice family parked next to us with 4 children ages 10 to 18. They have been here for 5 weeks. Great to get first-hand knowledge about the good places to eat.
