Had a lovely Filipino breakfast again, then after breaky went for
a swim down at Long Beach. It was so refreshing but we were mindful of sand flies!
Showered off at the hotel then got a 6 seater transporter to take us to the
airport for our 1pm Philippine Airlines flight ($86AUD pp) to Clark (north of
Manila).
The flight took 1.5 hours and afforded great views of the
beautiful Philippine Islands.
Once at Clark, we found there was a bus bound for Manila leaving
by 3pm so we jumped on board (380PHP pp). The journey took 4 hours in heavy
Manila peak hour traffic. Luckily we were all able to doze off!
We got off at Manila
Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) – Terminal 3 where we went to
retrieve our luggage from storage !2000PHP or $361AUD for 7 days of storage.
Got a bite to eat, then had to figure out how to get to our AirBnB @ Makati
(which we just booked in the morning).
We signed up for ‘Grab’ (like Uber) and a 6 seater arrived and we
somehow miraculously crammed our 6 selves + 8 pieces of luggage inside and away
we went to Greenbelt Chancellor 112.
Upon arrival we found the space to be quite small (reviews have
been so misleading), but decided to grin and bear it for our short time in
Manila.
