Airlie Beach to Mackay We headed to Cape Hillsborough, being school holidays it was very busy - we checked out the pretty beach and had a picnic lunch, whilst dodging the ride on mower guy, who was determined to spray us with dust and leaves.

Sue was keen to spend the night in Mackay and catch up with her 2nd cousin Julia and Husband Paul - problem - not sure where they were staying, Sue thought the caravan park had beach in the name - bingo - the first phone call was to Bucasia Beach Caravan Park - Julia answered the phone ( she was working on reception at the park) .

Despite it being school holidays she fitted us in. After Julia finished work we walked their dogs and then spent a lovely evening catching up.
