Innisfail
Margaret's birthday today. Off to Innisfail for a look around, an interesting Town with an Italian feel - this whole area was settled by Italians and they have charmingly left their mark.

In keeping with birthday tradition, Sue and Marg found a Spa Pedicure Salon, run by a very caring Thai Aunty and her niece - so - suitably beautified we emerged an hour later, with unrecognizable, normal "non camper" feet and one of the best pedicures we have ever had .

Off to Woolies ( we are in the big smoke now) for a couple of things, and to use the "specials stickers" that Marg & Barry gave us from the local paper - well the bill confused us so much - we queried it - it seems it confused everyone as the discount had been added not subtracted - after a good laugh we left with free goods and a substantial refund !

Then we spotted the acupuncturist - Tony J has had a lot of knee trouble, since he fell in a hole, so we asked if help was at hand - turned out, Dan, the acupuncture man, suggested a technique called ART - Active Release Technique - and an hour later he emerged a new man .

A picnic at Etty bay was the order of the day, however we took a wrong turn and ended up on the Paronella Park road, so decided to go there early - lucky for us the only spots left were down a little driveway, in the rainforest - we agreed to share it, and it turned out we had the best spot in the park.

Prior to our 6:15 evening tour time, we had a celebratory birthday glass of bubbly.
Despite arriving in the afternoon, we had resisted a peak at the castle and grounds, so had a magical time as the castle, bridges, fountains, bandicoots, micro bats and waterfalls all flood lit, unfolded in front of our eyes.

Back at camp, birthday dinner of the best aged rump steak from Georgetown accompanied by sweet potatoes chips and chocolate for desert - all in all a lovely day.
