Ravenshoe is pronounced ravensho not shoe as you would think! Before making camp in the wonderful free camping spot right in town, we visited the Millstream falls - the widest falls in Australia - Victoria & Niagara eat your heart out they were very pretty and had quite a lot of water, but a lot more would be needed to really believe they are the widest.
Ravenshoe has a delightful cafe right over the road from the free camp, and everything is home made, so after a a coffee and cake break, we explored the town
.
Later in the afternoon Marg and Sue took a walk to Platypus pond on the nearby river a yet again no luck with the platypus spotting, but never the less a nice walk along the river banks.
This was a delightful unexpected stop as we were killing time, before we meet Margs brother, Barry and his wife Marg, tomorrow at Innot Hot Springs.
