Evening in Singapore

Singapore River, Singapore
After a day jammed packed with site seeing we decided on a leisurely walk by the river to find somewhere to eat.
There are so many places to choose from, all with spruikers out the front vying for custom .

After being 'harassed' or I should say enticed by the restaurant hawkers to eat at their establishment because they would do us a special deal of 2 then 3 ‘free’ glasses of wine we
decided on a little restaurant water side. So close to the water Di & I had
to be careful we didn’t fall in!!!!

After dinner (& to escape the constant ringing of the fire alarm which everyone seemed to ignore.....despite the firemen walking around with fire extinguishers on their backs & an axe slung over their shoulder) we walked around the quay towards the Fullerton Hotel.

Definitely my type of hotel.....the phrase champagne lifestyle on beer budget springs to mind.
(Check out the drinks bill, after that we decided to give up drinking water as we would end up broke....)
Wow 5 star plus!!! What a fun night, lots of fun & laughter and not entirely because of the champagne.

Eventually dragged ourselves away from the plush lounges
& posh surrounds. Nice walk back through parks along the waterside & across
the mini harbour bridge to bed.

17/5: We decided a sleep in was in order so after a late
brekkie we sat around checked in for our flights later that night.

Finally jumped on our hop on/off bus to head to the Marina
Bay Sands viewing platform & Gardens By the Bay.

All I can say these sites are not to be missed if you ever get
to Singapore put the on your MUST SEE list. See the photos, but these do not do
it justice.
