Impeccable . I rarely find myself at a loss for words but this restaurant managed to leave me (nearly) speechless.
Once again dinner at this restaurant and this time with the company of a friend. We dined at the beautiful outdoor seating on the decking overlooking the beach from some distance.
ATMOSPHERE:
Dinner at the Grill room terrace is an unforgettable experience whether eating indoors or out. Dining in the moonlight under a cloudless sky, with soft music at the background was another memorable experience this time.
SERVICE:
Top notch service! Kritona's team was equally as friendly and chatty at the same time as remaining professional. Waiters completely unobtrusive, but always there when needed.
Chairs are arranged in a solid distance from each other, so there is no feeling of an "elbow neighbor" something I came across in several restaurants in Limassol this time . We had a bigger table as well and everything looked nice and spotlessly clean.
The wine list was extensive with both reasonable prices and other bottles more expensive.
APPETIZERS:
Our meal was started with a “treat from the kitchen” which, although I forget what it actually was, I remember it was delicious and a fancy way to start the experience off.
The Champagne aperitif was served with style and was a great start. My friend’s choice, -the Moet & Chardon rose, while I opted for the Gosset white.
STARTERS: The Painted Seasons Salad and Yellow Fin Tuna Tartar, both refreshing and tasty was a great way to start our journey to tastes . €12.00 and €14.00.
PASTA: If you love pasta, go for the Lobster Ravioli –it was brilliant and I enjoyed every bite. €17.00.
MAIN: I had the Rib-eye (300gr) medium well and it came with the Wild mushroom and Black Peppercorn sauces. It was perfectly cooked, sinfully tender, juicy, salty, buttery –simply AMAZING! €34.00.
My friend had Pork –the Corn-fed Iberico (pata negra) (250gr)
A super quality cut and meat was cooked to perfection. I loved its incomparable tenderness, taste and texture from the bite or two I had. It came with grilled seasonal vegetables, and mashed with truffle baked potatoes. This super yummy option for €26.00.
Throughout the meal the complimentary water and wine was kept topped up by the professional staff but they also never became overbearing .
A refreshing palate-cleansing sorbet was exactly what I needed before moving on to dessert. I opted for the Mango flavour out of the Lemon and Blood Orange choices.
DESSERT: Dessert lovers are going crazy over melting chocolate ball dish. Something similar was my friend’s choice, the Chocolate Sphere. With almost every bite she could not help making sounds of satisfaction…Wow! Mmm! €7.50.
For myself, a lighter option which I highly recommend. The Oven-grilled Pineapple was truly divine -banoffee gelato salted caramel. €7.50. Big thumbs up!
BEVERAGE:
White: Chardonnay Kyperounta –a full body wine with a lasting aftertaste .
Red: Cabernet –Melrot Argyrides – a rich fruity aftertaste on the palate.
Dessert wine: Pinot Gris
IN ALL: Dining here was another wonderful experience. The quality of the food, setting and staff gave a real high end experience and I long to return. You really should visit here whatever your reason might be, but it is highly recommended that you make a reservation for this restaurant as it is very popular.Thank you Kritonas, Kostas, Marios, Anka, Alicia and Andreas!
