Raining all the way to Cambridge

Cambridge, England, United Kingdom
Typical English weather it’s raining as usual, Perth rain is starting to look good even though there have been bad storms. Quick email and call to Paul from National Windscreens in Peterborough to arrange a time and town to replace our front windscreen due to the stone chip and lucky for us Newmarket has a windscreen and it can be fitted at 1.30pm.
The drizzle hasn’t stopped and we are back on the A47 travelling through the agricultural area skirting around Norwich to a dual motorway no views only dense trees by the road for part of the way, passed over rivers and motorways to see for the first time piggery’s from the B1332 slip road, then the lovely high voltage powerlines by the motorway till we entered the roundabout for A11 to Newmarket then Cambridge.
Still raining and the views haven’t changed still travelling through the agricultural area of Norfolk, saw a Bidvest Logistics truck on the A11 then just dense trees along the roadside, past by Industrial estates and towns till we stopped at Sainsbury’s for morning tea and a top up milk and fruit in Elveden.
Phone call from National Windscreens in Newmarket asking if we could come earlier which was great for us seeing we don’t have to kill a few hours. Back on A11 with a few roundabouts changes to A14 then A1304 through the industrial area of Newmarket to their branch. The chap there was great took one look at the screen and said don’t waste your money on a new windscreen for £30.00 they will fix the stone chip and you won’t even know it had been chipped. Good news for us but I felt sorry for the lad fixing it in the pouring rain.
Back on the A1304 passing the Newmarket Racecourse, horse agistment and stables before turning back onto the A14 the A1303 to Cambridge with the lovely views of the agricultural landscape, piggery’s, Industrial Estates and towns before arriving at Cambridge Cherry Hinton Caravan Club site
Wish the b!!! rain would stop, the lovely Warden said the weather was going to change tomorrow, I told him he was a very funny man. Lots of puddles at the site, we were going to go to the Camping and Caravanning site but that is flooded. So here we are sitting looking at the rain and listening to the radio while catching up with downloads on the internet which we haven’t had for a few days.
Sent Margo a text to see if she and Fred are in Bromley or Hove, as once we have seen Cambridge we will be heading to London and staying with them in Bromley and our journey round the UK and Ireland will have ended.
