Goodbye motorhome life, hello Bromley

Bromley, England, United Kingdom
Woke late to an overcast sky and nearly thought there was going to be rain, but by midmorning the sun was out and it turned out to be a lovely day but not tee shirt weather.
Our last day at Kelvedon Hatch Caravan Site was a little hectic with emails to our Travel Agent in Perth making sure our flights home were changed and boy do British Airways and QANTAS know how to charge when you change your flights. With all that done and dusted I booked three nights at the Peninsular Excelsior Hotel in Singapore and now our final travel plans are completed so we can sit back and relax.
One thing we won’t miss is the final check list to depart the Caravan Park, our last waste water dump, chemical toilet dump and we don’t have to worry about how much drinking water we have on board. Our final farewell to caravan life, parks and wilding camping
With satnav set we are off to Margo and Fred’s in Bromley some 20 minutes away, but Richard refused to go down the narrow shortcut road we kept on the A128 to reach the M25 dual motorway, which takes us round London over the Thames River on the Dartford Crossing a huge Toll Bridge. The traffic is unbelievable and we had to keep our wits about ourselves with the slip roads to exit and the horrible roundabouts to navigate to A20 then A222 to Bromley, which was a little quieter.
A beautiful leafy green suburb like being in the countryside with trees and shrubs by the roadside with large blocks and beautiful homes where Margo lives on a busy road. Had no problems finding Margo’s home and they we waiting for us at 1pm.
Great to sit back with family and relax over a cuppa, before heading out to Harvesters Pub for a late lunch come dinner, then back to their home to catch up on all the news. The remainder of the afternoon was spent emptying the motorhome ready to clean tomorrow before taking it back to Faversham to complete the buyback contract a very cheap way to have a long holiday instead of hiring a motorhome.
Poor Margo’s home looks like a bomb has hit it with all our belongings dumped in the bedroom, a big job of sorting and packing tomorrow.
We are looking forward to our shower and sleeping in a comfortable bed for the next week.
