Sunday roast and plenty of rest in the sunshine

Kelvedon Hatch, England, United Kingdom
Sunday morning sleep-in seeing we are now in going home mode, woke to a glorious day just like one of our Spring days even put a summer tee shirt on it was that warm. A morning of doing nothing just gas bagging with our new found friends Linda and Terry on the next pitch to us.
Even though the site is nearly full, it is Sunday and everyone is in relax mode soaking up the sun so nice and peaceful. There isn’t much to do here unless we want to drive to another quaint market village or to a seaside town on the Thames Estuary. At the moment we are just enjoying the sun something we haven’t seen for a long time, at least not three or so days in a row.
Being a Sunday we now like to have a lovely English roast lunch with Yorkshire pudding and lucky for us there is a local pub just down the road The Eagle a lovely pub with outdoor settings and a good size dining room.
The roast pork and beef with lashings of vegies was beautiful but our eyes were bigger than our bellies, we squeezed in an apple and blackberry crumble with custard, just too much. With swollen tummies we managed to make it back to the Caravan Park and crash on the bed for the afternoon to let the food go down.
Turning into Poms now sitting outside like everyone else enjoying the evening and the last bit of sunshine. Had a lovely phone call from Edna and caught up with all the news they had a lovely holiday in Cornwall with their grandchildren, will miss them but there is always emails and the internet to keep in touch.
