Last Day in Tonalá

Tonalá, Jalisco, Mexico
One last day at the Tianguis de Tonalá (Tonala market). Got a few more pics for you (will get more bold about getting in people's faces in the future).

Jam packed! You can't see around the front, but those seats are full too. Must be one of the better places to eat.

This monument is at the cross of two streets. These are streets with the nice paving. Traffic is very limited on these streets. To the front of this monument, the street is chained off with very nice poles and chain. Beyond the chain, there are a few food stalls.

To the left, the back, and the right of the monument, there are streets full of shops (and stalls on market day).

Back to my room for a rest and a snack, leftover pizza.

Walked the streets some more. It's much easier to get pics of the side streets; you can at least see more of the stalls. If I took pics where they are all squeezed together, you'ld only see a couple stalls, with a bunch of sardines between them!

Kept looking around, did a little shopping (you might guess, from some of the pics I took, what I bought).

Took my stuff back to my room, and headed out to dinner.

Don't know why I didn't take any pics of the restaurant (now I don't even remember what it looked like). The entree is called Camarones al Guamuchil (Guamuchil being the name of the restaurant) - shrimp wrapped in bacon over rice, and a salad with iceberg, onions, avocado, tomato and cucumber (again no dressing - but that's okay, everything is fresh and tasty, and I don't need the extra calories) - 16 shrimp! Cost: $10.75. Dinner was so good it deserved two (!) beers, at $1.30 ea.

Went back to my room. Worked on the blog for a while. Had a cookie snack. Read a little bit. Fell asleep.
