Work day

Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico
Woke at 6:30 am. Did some computer work: having a little trouble with 'Photos' app. Still have a lot to learn about this Mac. At 9:00 am, went down to pay rent for a week on my room: $1960 (less than $17/day). Then I met up with a guy who's lived in So. Cal. but is from the other side of the lake. He gave me a few tips (not enough for the time invested - but at least it only cost me a coffee). Back in my room, I did about 1 1/2 hours more study on the 'Photos' app. Then I went to lunch.

Checked out several places on the net, but all the places I wanted to go to are closed on Mondays. So I walked back to the plaza. There were three eateries open there, but the one I chose catered more to Americans (see photos, most of the patrons are Anglos).

I had Enchiladas Suiza - chicken enchiladas with a poblano sauce, topped with a three cheese sauce. Tasty and filling. Beverage was Modelo Negra, a good dark beer (but I'm not a beer connoisseur). Cost: $5, plus 2 beers $4 (remember, tips included).

Back in my room, working on today's blog. Feeling pretty good about my life right now: the livin' is easy, the food good, and the weather great: it's 3:00 pm and 77º. Since I left the States, it's been mostly low 80s to low 60s, mostly because of a lot of overcast, but very little rain. So it's nice and cool in the shade, but you can sweat (dew, for you ladies) if you're in the sun for a while.

Kept pounding away at the keyboard 'til I got hungry again.
Went downstairs and grabbed a couple slices of whatever they had out.

Worked. Read. Off to bed.
