Wasted day

Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico

Rained, hard, from 5 to 6 am. Went back to sleep 'til 7:30. Took a shower. Hit the road about 8:30.

Was going to try the other side of the lake today. Bus to Joco. Walk to the next bus stop. Waited for more than an hour to catch a bus going from Guadalajara to Morelia. It's 11:15; already wasted too much of the day. Started walking back to bus stop to Joco, and two buses go by on the other side of the highway going where I had intended to go. Oh well, as I said, too late in the day to get started on that adventure. It's now 12:30, and I just accomplished 4 hours of nothing.

Back in Ajijic, went to lunch. No wifi today, so I'm finishing this entry on Oct 18. Off to another mentioned place. I have the distinct impression that the only mentioned places are those that cater to Anglos: English on the menus, American type items, etc I'm more interested in good food: I don't care what nationality it reflects. I'm just north of Puerto Vallarta now, and I'm finding the same problem here (especially with the reviews from TripAdvisor). These people really don't know how to travel; but I guess that's because they're just tourists, and they don't want to get out of their comfort zones, which is okay (as long as they don't try to act like world travelers [there's a difference between travelers and tourists] and give opinions on things they know nothing about.)

Anyway, went to Danny's.

Had the club sandwich: good, but nothing special.

Back at the ranch: no wifi, so let's just read, nap, snack, watch tv, go to bed.
