12/8/2012 Blackall
At the Blackall caravan park the fire pit is the centre of social activity, enhanced by a nightly camp oven roast .
We decided to hold the happy hour before the roast was served so that the two events could merge into one good evening. About 60 very keen participants arrived well before kick off so it was on for young and old.
The prize draw was a highlight with most people making very favorable comments about the happy hour concept and Dometic in general.

This campsite also puts on formal entertainment and the artist was Graham Rodger, one of the best known country singer/songwriters in the Australia - Sue was in her element as she thinks he is the best.

Blackall is an RV friendly town and it certainly lives up to it, the Blackall caravan park is within easy walking distance of town and the Artesian spa, so a fantastic place to spend a few days.

13/8/2012 a lazy day - we enjoyed a stroll around the town, Email catch up & chatting with fellow campers. In the afternoon we walked the 2 blocks to the Artesian spa and heated Olympic swimming pool before returning to the caravan park for Debbie's damper making demo.

This was no sooner finished than Graham Rodger arrived to perform for an hour, after he passed the hat around, we bought a couple of his cd's then partook of the camp oven roast dinner, accompanied by Verve Clique champagne to celebrate Marg retiring, which is why they were able to join us on their first long trip.
