Isisford, Queensland, Australia
14/8/2012 Blackall to Isisford
After a trip out to the woolscour - the only working steam run woolscour left in the world - they start it up for the tours that run every hour . Basically it is where the wool was washed and bailed before being sent to Europe for sale.

There was a sheep shearing facility here too - our guide used to be one of the people who bailed the wool - a very knowledgeable fella.

Back into town for a cuppa and some shopping then on to the wonderful little town of Isisford, with it's great free camp on the banks of the Barcoo river. Walking distance to town where there are showers, a pub, corner store and some other quaint places including the museum with the fossilized replica of 98 million year old Isisfordia Duncani, more about that tomorrow.

The road to Isisford is sealed and narrow with quite a few grids but hardly any traffic - an easy drive.
