Washing day - this proved to be a challenge, despite getting up early it took us over an hour and a half to get to the front of the que and get the job done. We considered leaving it till Winton, but a fellow camper told us the water in Winton, left a bit to be desired. This park had 3 laundries, but with some machines out of order and everyone wanting to do it early and get out sightseeing for the day, you needed to be quick.

We returned to Qantas with our pass-out from yesterday, and enjoyed the founders museum, a real insight into the 4 guys, Fysh, McGuiness, McMaster and Baird, who had the foresight to start a flying service, the early planes and original hanger complete the picture .

Over the road is the Stockmans Hall of Fame - wow - this is a special place, the museum is beautifully set out starting with the Discovery section all about the early explorers, the next section was all about the pioneers, we tried to read it all but the reality is you could revisit this museum over and over and discover more each time.

This museum really does showcase Australia's greatest and bravest explorers, stock workers, pastoralists, and Aborigines. The exhibits comprise of a mix of objects, images, touch screens, audiovisual presentations and open displays, allowing visitors to interpret the outback story in their own unique way.

The building itself is fantastic, great architecture and wonderful wood paneling.

$25 for seniors - included the Hall of Fame and entry into the Hugh Sawrey Art Gallery. Hugh together with RM Williams founded the Stockmans Hall of Fame.

A touch of shopping followed, before heading back to the Caravan Park for a rest, where we were entertained by Dancing Brolgas before dinner of Moroccan pork skewers and veg, then the All Blacks beat the Wallabies in Bledisloe cup
