Porcupine Gorge to Richmond Back into Hughenden for supplies. At The Great Western pub we were served by a the most helpful charming fellow, they have a reasonable selection of wine and the prices were OK for out here.

Margs phone had run out of battery, and once charged required the pin- aha - it was at home in the file! and our phone was not getting signal to ring Telstra for help . To top it off Hughenden Retrovision are no longer Telstra agents. Thank goodness for the trusty IPad and Telstras great Nextg coverage in these parts. Logging onto their account they were able to reset the PUK and then choose a new password - so by now you should all have heard from them, again.

On to Richmond, another long straight road through the Mitchell grasslands. The Richmond Caravan Park ($22.50 powered site) is a lovely spot on a lake, with a few trees and good opportunity to do the laundry. Tony made a curry whilst Sue sorted out the TV ready for the boys to watch the rugby.

Now we are a little confused, because our digital TV would not pick up Imparja (channel 9 out here), Jules the park manager told us we may need to borrow a set top box, so we tried it and it worked - Word is its something to do with a new format mpeg4 ??

26/8/2012- A quick decision in the morning to hold a Dometic happy hour that night, because the park seemed to have just the right atmosphere and facilities and it was full every night. Once the shopping was done we headed to Kronosaurus corner for a "legendary" pie and to see the magnificent fossil museum here, featuring the largest marine dinosaur and some flying ones too. This is an amazing - world class centre, with audio phones provided and the exhibits beautifully displayed in sand, some as they were found.

The happy hour was attended by 55-60 people and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, Jules (the manager) reported good feedback the next day.
