Winton to Corfield sports club
Before we left Winton it was off to the Waltzing Matilda Centre for a look around the museum, mainly set up to honor and tell you all about the famous song "Waltzing Matilda", there is an art gallery, a heritage museum and some pioneering info on the area as well.

The nearby Arnos wall behind the North Gregory Hotel, is a wall constructed of stones and "things" like sewing machines, bicycles, hub cups, etc etc etc .

The musical fence entertained us for a few minutes, whilst we banged the various bits of tin and wire, unmusically - we imagine that a musician might make it sound like it's name.

All this was followed by some shopping - the chemist, Spar, Butcher and a mandatory pie and coffee at the bakery before we headed out of town by about 1:30, which meant we were camped and relaxing by 3:00pm after about a 70km drive on a good sealed road.

The free camp at Corfield sports club is a pleasant spot with amenities, showers at the pub next door, picnic tables and even a BBQ.

Happy hour at the pub was followed by BBQ lamb steaks from the Winton butcher - back at camp.
