Travel Day

Traveling out of Colorado and into Utah over I-70 through the high desert country was a monotonous drive as there was nothing there to excite your senses . But after turning
south on U.S. Hwy 191 the visuals improved; although we skirted the Arches and Canyonlands National Parks the wonders of what awaits us in the parks was previewed along the highway. As we climbed into the mountains the views of the red rock and the cliff faces were spectacular, while the vistas out over the valleys were somewhat hazy they were still great. We did not stop at any of the parks today, but headed straight for our destination in the town of Bluff, in the south east corner of the state, and our campground for the next several days, the “Cadillac Ranch RV Park”. It is a small park, but clean and friendly and should make a good base camp to explore this part of the state.
