Non-Travel Day

This morning was partly cloudy, so it was perfect weather for the bike ride we had
planned . We loaded our bikes onto the truck and drove to the trail head at the intersection of US 191 and UT 128. We took the paved trail that paralleled the Colorado River upstream for 2.5 miles. We had driven this same part of the river the other day, but biking along the river is a fantastic way to see the area. Our next stop was the “Slickrock Bike Trail”; this is a trail over rolling sandstone rock. Valerie declined to try the trail, but I started and after about 200
yards I decided that the trails level of difficulty was beyond my abilities. This afternoon was spent washing the truck, cleaning the camper, food shopping and generally preparing for our next leg of the trip starting tomorrow. We have truly enjoyed our stay here in Moab UT.

Hi Sis, Looks like a great trip. We have started looking at RV's, maybe we can start taking trips like this soon.

That sounded like a really nice day without a lot of driving. We knew you would like Moab.

Wow, you two are going to be so toned and buff when you get home after all the hiking and biking on these mountain trails. Glad that you have the beautiful scenery, too.
