Good morning Fort Lauderdale

I had a huge sleep last night, you get in the sea air and I'm out like a light ...even with a bad bed. Speaking of beds I get my new one today, a wonderful custom made bed for Nellie this first mate is thrilled! So what is on the schedule for this lovely sunny day. Chores and prep for our big adventure. Bryan has a lot of running around to do this morning and I'll go for a workout and walk. The bed arrives around noon :-)

This afternoon I'll go for groceries time to get stocked up for our trip into the Bahamas. There will be provisioning stores along the way but here I have the luxury of many grocery stores.

The plan as of this morning is to travel over to Bimini Bahamas on Sunday the winds are blowing the right direction that day. To bad we can't go today it's dead calm out there. Tomorrow is out of the question as its too windy we are slaves to the weather now for a couple of months. If you are interested in weather you should go to www.weatherunderground.com it has detailed marine forecasts shows the winds with directions etc. very detailed.

So what to do tomorrow, we have decided to be tourists and explore the boardwalks of Florida looking forward to that.

A very good day of chores we checked off all of our Westmarine shopping what will we do without our daily visits there :-)) I decided on a nice long walk to Starbucks approximately 45min each way it was a beautiful day not too hot full sunshine. I love the walk lots to see and my favorite part is Iguana Alley as I like to call it, it's like something out of Jurassic Park lots of Iguana's all shapes and sizes very cool. On my way back I stopped at the park its a huge family and dog park with all sorts of activities for families. One feature is a workout circuit that goes all around the park, so the concept is to stop at each station do what they say and move on, not a bad workout. 

I started our grocery provisioning at the whole foods store, I just love this store the best place to find corn free items...I'm like a kid in a candy shop there!

We decided on a local pub for dinner the service was horrible, wine ugh, food had corn, but the atmosphere was very good, lots of TV's around and lively music so that was nice. Tomorrow night I'm cooking on board.
