Fort Lauderdale - Day 2 Chores

Saturday, January 31, 2015
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States
Good morning all

Another beautiful day in paradise, more clouds today but its warm so I'm not complaining . The winds are coming from North / North east today so we are finishing off our chores and staying put. Tomorrow we are in for South / South East winds which is a good thing. The passage over to Bimini Bahama's tomorrow is 45 miles once we leave the inland water way, it takes about an hour to get there as we have to pass through 3 bridges. So the plan is to leave early tomorrow morning.

We will finish off our provisioning and chores today, I'm installing a wireless Internet bridge which will assist with boosting the signal at the marinas :-) For me this means more blogging and my new addiction curling on my IPad for Bryan it means a happier work environment so a win win!

We are going to the boardwalk this afternoon to finally see it and have a cocktail. Dinner will be cooked on the boat tonight and we will hit the hay early.

Hello there followers, this boardwalk visit is just not in the cards for me...too funny, the day got away on us and we didn't get there. Perhaps tomorrow as we won't be leaving Fort Lauderdale as planned the winds are not settling down and I'm not interested in 8foot chop :-) So we will stay here another day, watch the super bowl somewhere and cruise on Monday.

I'm attaching a picture of our wonderful row of storage bins, we love the container store...yes I'm a geek!

Wow, thank you both. the "Solaia" looks wonderful. It's strange but I don't feel any older than 69 years, 364 days, but they tell me I hit the 70 mark. Life is good. And friends like you make it even better. We will have an event when you get back and share and even or weekend of wine, music, movies and good food. You guys are the best. Have a fabulous trip to Bimini and beyond.
love, Rob (and Sue too).

Your welcome Rob you only turn 69+ one time so enjoy the vino! We love that wine and 2001 is a great vintage. Robert Parker gave a rating of 96 out of 100 to the 2001 and Wine Spectator gave a rating of 93 out of 100 my personal rating is 98 so yummy. Looks like you had a really fun day of celebrating based on Helen's pictures on FB :-) We will look forward to celebrating with you in the spring. We hope to leave for Binimi tomorrow, today the winds are not blowing in the right direction for a crossing. Enjoy your Sunday! xo
