Hello all, finally I get a post in. We left really early this morning to beat the storm which is heading to Nassau, the Skipper once again timed it perfectly. The passage across the North West Providence Channel was really great a few waves but we managed 10knots the whole time which was perfect. The trip took us just over 4 hours, we gassed up before entering the Atlantis resort marina the gas is much more here, in Nassau they see the big yachts and capitalize on that for sure. The skipper called the weather perfectly as per usual, tomorrow they are calling for 35mph winds and 11 foot seas...yikes!

We have been having troubles with the Internet here but I've managed to get 2 of our computers to work so that's good . Our Bahamian phone is sketchy as well so we will go into town tomorrow and check with the carrier on what we can do to improve the situation. It's all a learning experience and part of the adventure.  

This resort is huge, 11 pools, water park, fitness centre, spa, casino and much more. We made our way to the fitness centre it is great really big, we were there for 1/2 hour and the sky's opened up and a big storm hit us just as they said it would high winds and rain oh my. Bryan ran back to the boat and it was a journey to close things up, poor guy was soaked to the skin by the time made it back to the boat. He closed everything up and used all that great fresh water to clean the salt off and it was free thanks to the sky's :-)

As I mentioned the resort is huge so to get a round you are walking or you can order up a golf cart to drive you. It took us 20 minutes to walk to the fitness centre as an example . There are closer shops and the casino is about 10 minutes away, I don't mind the walking and the rain has stopped yahoo. The resort is definitely a 5 start place, gorgeous interior very much like some of the Vegas hotels.

We wandered back to the marina village an outside area with nice shops and small restaurants, we decided to eat outside at a place with life jazz music food was nothing special but the music was amazing. It was fun to people watch and yacht watch, another 4 mega yachts came in this afternoon they are huge, hot tubs, garages build in over 10million a piece at least crazy! We laughed because they put us small boats way down at the end, back of the buss as the expression goes lol. One good thing is at our end of the marina we have a pool, bar, small fitness centre if we wanted we would not have to go into the big resort.
