Highbourne Cay, International
Good morning

We are slowly all getting up and organized for our day on the water . The plan is to leave for Highborune Cay our fist stop in the Exuma's. Highbourne Cay is known world-wide as the gateway to the ultimate ephemeral islands – The Exuma Cays. Uniquely, the privately owned island welcomes yachtsmen and guests to its first-class marina and luxury cottages.
Arrived at 2pm and set anchor in a protected bay of Highbourne Cay. There were 2 stunning beaches gorgeous white sand, it just never gets old looking at this crystal clear green / blue water and white sand beaches.

We went for a swim and snorkel saw a few things around some small choral heads.

Back to the boat for a clean water rinse off dried off and took the dingy into the marina. It is a small marina very protected of course there were several mega yachts docked in there. Made our way to the bar for a cocktail very nice place didn't serve food until 6. Apparently the food at this restaurant is very good, Renn your recommendation of the Beet Salad will have to wait for the next trip as we decided to eat on board we didn’t want to travel back to the boat in the dark. Lots of choral to navigate around. We had a nice veggie gumbo, thanks to Ian for teaching me about seasoning it was great. We had a couple of corked bottles of wine and left over gumbo so Craig threw it overboard feed the fish. The lesson learned in that exercise always check the winds before throwing items over board...oops a wee mess to clean tomorrow.

Had a great night chatting and more chatting. Pictures to follow when we have a better wireless connection.

You will love Highbourne! We were there last winter for several days on a friends boat. The Beet Salad was great at the resturant, try it! I hope Bryan takes his beer, Steve paid $65.00 for a case of Bud Light. Ask them to show you the villas, they are awesome. ENJOY!!!!
