Highbourne Cay, International
Good morning I've finally caught up with my blogging, sorry for delay the internet is not great in a lot of the places we've been. A cloudy morning but always warm here, we have about 60 miles
to travel today so a long day, the weather is supposed to break later today but I'm happy as long as the seas are in our favour

We went over to Big Major to see the pigs before we made our way over to George Town but the pigs were no where to be found, perhaps next time.
A cloudy morning but always warm here we have about 60 miles to travel today so a long day, the weather is supposed to break later today but I’m happy as long as the seas are in our favour. We cut from the Exuma bank to the Exuma sound at Cave Cay a nice deep passage route. We should arrive in George Town around 3 or 4 depending on the seas. We arrived at George Town at 2 pm earlier than planned the seas were very good too us.

Marjorie (I’ve been spelling Marj’s name wrong I apologize Marjorie!) and I walked the towns main circle looking at tourist shops and exploring the walk took an hour at a slow pace so not big. The boys gassed up El Nido, filled the water and we are now ready for tomorrow’s adventure. The day was lovely on the water it was really interesting to see how the water color changes we went from 22 ft to 2300ft it was a very cool thing…another cool thing J

The big adventure of the day was we got stuck on the bridge, the bridge door latch got stuck and we were then stuck upstairs . The only way out was the window, if you’ve seen our boat the bridge is fairly high off the water, so what to do…After some pondering and discussions we decided that Marjorie was the lightest so we would have her go out the window down to the walk way which runs the length of the boat from stern to bowe. We put a life jacket on her, tied a line around her and with Bryan holding her hand forearm and Craig bracing the line we gently lowered her down…no problem…Marj is now our resident Monkey Lady J Thanks Marj!

In town we provisioned the boat for the next couple of days. Had a drink at the local roadside bar, then back to the boat to get gussied up for our dinner at the yacht club.  The Yacht club was not anything like what you would see back home it was shall I say rustic. Had a outside bar area and then inside looked like a 70’s style banquet hall miss matched chairs etc. but had a great feel, good food and there server Tina was amazing. She was born and raised here, 21 and her goals are to leave here and get an education. You can really see on all these islands the economy’s are very depressed we are so thankful for the ease of our life when you witness the conditions others live in. The locals were happy and carefree so they don’t mind, Tina’s biggest line was "no problem no problem" anything you want she could do.

Home and in bed early as we are up and gone early tomorrow. Looking for a beach for some sun tanning, then on to an achorage hear Long Island.
